Since I’m not much of a podcast consumer, here we are.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve used writing to clarify my thinking. You might say I “think by writing” (though I also “think by talking”—diverse conversations are essential to my work). Back when I was in start-ups and research, writing was something I did for myself. Later, from my time as CTO at Capgemini through to Deloitte’s Centre for the Edge, it evolved into a public practice—an integral part of my work.

Thanks for reading! My original goal was to weave together insights from the past decade into a cohesive narrative. But as I revisited my past work, I found just as many interesting ideas in the gaps between publications as in the published pieces themselves. Some will make it into the book. Others deserve their own space.

That’s where this Substack comes in.

I’ll use this newsletter to share these “extra” ideas, along with book excerpts, work-in-progress thoughts, and applications of the analytical framework in the book to current challenges.

What to Expect

If you’re familiar with my past work, the themes will be familiar:

Innovation and Strategic Adaptation. How organisations navigate uncertainty and change.
